Firefighters dealt with a house boat blaze on Regents Canal off Solebay Street this morning.
Half of the canal boat was damaged by fire but thankfully no one was on board at the time.
The Brigade was called at 0834 and the fire was under control by 0908. Fire crews from Bethnal Green, Whitechapel, Shadwell and East Ham fire stations were at the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
