Four fire engines and around 20 firefighters and officers were called to a fire at a block of flats in Uxbridge Road, Ealing.
Five metres of electrical cabling in a lift shaft on the 9th floor of the building was damaged by fire.
Approximately 20 people left the building before the arrival of the Brigade. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1141 and the fire was under control at 1238. Fire crews from Ealing, Acton, Southall and North Kensington fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
