Two fire engines and 14 firefighters and officers were called to a flat fire on Finsbury Road in Wood Green in the early hours of this morning.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus removed a man from a ground floor flat but he was sadly confirmed dead by London Ambulance Service crews.
The Brigade was called at 0148 and the incident was over for firefighters at 0315. Fire crews from Hornsey Fire Station attended the scene
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
