Four fire engines and around 20 firefighters and officers were called to a grass fire in Windmill Road in Wimbledon.
One hectare of grass was damaged by fire.
The Brigade was called at 1616 and the fire was under control at 1750. Fire crews from Wimbledon, Wandsworth, New Malden and Battersea fire stations attended the scene.
