Four fire engines were called to a fire at a building site on South Lambeth Road in Vauxhall this morning.
The incident was very visible and the Brigade’s 999 control centre received around thirty calls about the blaze.
A pile of building insulation was completely damaged by the fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
Fire crews from Brixton, Chiswick and Peckham were at the scene. The Brigade was called at 0952 and the blaze was under control by 1035.
