Thamesmead - house fire

Four fire engines and around 20 firefighters and officers were called to a fire at a row of terraced houses in Holt Close in Thamesmead.

Part of the ground floor and part of the first floor of one house was damaged by fire. A garden shed in the rear garden of the property was completely damaged in the blaze.

All of the fences between three properties were also damaged by fire.

The Brigade was called at 1623 and the fire was under control at 1733. Fire crews from Plumstead, Erith and Bexley fire stations attended the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
