Three fire engines and 15 firefighters tackled a fire in a single storey shed on Broadway in Rainham yesterday morning.
The whole of the shed was destroyed by the blaze. A gas cylinder was involved and was cooled down by fire crews as some cylinders can explode when exposed to heat.
The Brigade was called at 0850 and the fire was under control by 1014. Firefighters from Wennington and Dagenham fire stations attended the incident. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
