Downham – cricket pavilion blaze

Fire at commercial property

Six fire engines and 35 firefighters and officers dealt with a fire in a cricket pavilion on Rangefield Road in Downham.

The whole of the single storey wooden building was badly damaged by the blaze.

The Brigade was called at 1158 and the fire was under control by 1335. Fire crews from Bromley, Beckenham, Lee Green, Lewisham and Forest Hill fire stations. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
