Four fire engines and three fire rescue units were called after a car was involved in a collision with a tree and ground floor flat on Gunner Drive in Enfield this afternoon.
Firefighters worked with London Ambulance Service crews and police at the scene to release a man from the car. A woman had been released from the vehicle by members of the public before the Brigade arrived. Both were taken to hospital.
Four people from two flats either side of the affected property in the three storey block were evacuated but thankfully there were no reports of injuries to anyone inside the building.
The Brigade was called at 1202 and the incident was over by 1404. Crews from Enfield, Chingford and Edmonton fire stations attended the scene.
