Two fire engines, a fire rescue unit and 15 firefighters were called to a collision involving a bus and bus shelter on Widmore Road in Bromley this afternoon.
Crews used an aerial ladder platform to assist a passenger down from the top deck of the bus after they were trapped there by their injuries. The woman was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service.
The Brigade was called at 1450 and the incident was over at 1612. Crews from Bromley, Beckenham and Lewisham fire stations attended the incident along with London Ambulance Service and the Metropolitan Police.
