Eltham - house fire

Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to a fire at a derelict house in Bexley Road, Eltham in the early hours of this morning.

Part of the first floor of the property was damaged by fire. The roof of the house was gutted by the blaze.

The Brigade was called at 0039 and the fire was under control at 0255. Fire crews from Eltham, Sidcup and Lee Green fire stations attended the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
