Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to a fire at a house in Beckenham Road, Beckenham in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Part of the first floor of the property was damaged by fire and the roof of the semi detached house was gutted by the blaze.
The Brigade was called at 0425 and the fire was under control at 0800. Fire crews from Beckenham, Woodside, Bromley and West Norwood fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and Metropolitan Police Service.
