Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to rubbish alight in a field in Eastern Avenue West, Chadwell Heath last night.
Approximately 50 tonnes of scrub and wood products were damaged by fire.
The Brigade was called at 2153 and the fire was under control at 0038. Fire crews from Ilford, Romford and Hainault fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
