Tower of London – small kitchen fire

Firefighters were called to a small kitchen fire at the Tower of London last night.

When crews arrived they found the oven door open with smoke coming out. Firefighters switched the oven off and ventilated the kitchen.

Around 100 people evacuated the building before the Brigade arrived.

The Brigade was called at 1950 and the incident was over by 2000. Fire crews from Whitechapel, Dockhead, Shadwell and Shoreditch fire stations.
