Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers dealt with a joinery and offices on Anning Street in Shoreditch this morning.
The fire damaged part of the building’s recycling extraction system and smoke could be seen for miles.
The Brigade was called at 1035 and the fire was under control by 1121. Fire crews from Bethnal Green, Dowgate, Islington and Soho fire stations attended the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
