Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to deal with a fire at an industrial site on Collier Row Road in Romford yesterday evening.
Part of the external cladding of a single storey range of industrial units was damaged by the fire. The blaze also damaged two containers carrying theatrical props.
Fire crews wearing breathing apparatus tackled the blaze and thankfully no injuries were reported.
The Brigade was called at 1910 and the fire was under control by 2110. Fire crews from Romford, Hainault and Dagenham fire stations attended the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
