Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to a fire in a recycling plant on Gateway Road in Leyton this morning.
Two hundred tons of rubbish was damaged by the fire.
The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
The Brigade was called at 0730 and the fire was under control by 1014. Fire crews from Leyton, Leytonstone and Homerton fire stations attended the scene.
