Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers dealt with a fire in a recycling warehouse on Creek Way in Raiham yesterday afternoon.
A single storey warehouse containing around 15,000 tons of granulated waste plastics was damaged by the blaze, but thankfully no one was injured.
The Brigade was called at 1750 and the fire was under control by 2019. Fire crews from Wennington, Dagenham and Barking fire stations attended the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
