Six fire engines and 35 firefighters and officers dealt with a fire at a recycling plant on Church Road in Leyton last night.
A pile of rubbish of approximately 15 tonnes was damaged by the blaze. There were no reports of any injuries.
The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
The Brigade was called at 0028 and the fire was under control by 0330. Fire crews from Leyton, Walthamstow, Leytonstone, Homerton and Tottenham fire stations attended the scene.
