Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to a fire in a shop and social club on Green Lane in Dagenham this morning.
Part of the social club on the first floor of the property was damaged by the fire. Thankfully no injuries were reported.
The Brigade was called at 0632 and the fire was under control by 0823. Fire crews from Dagenham and Ilford fire stations attended the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
