Six fire engines and 35 firefighters and officers were called to a fire on Oakley Park Road in Bromley early this morning.
A range of buildings consisting of garages, stables and a swimming pool were badly damaged by the blaze. Thankfully the horses were in the field and not in the stables at the time of the fire.
The occupiers of the nearby house saw the fire and immediately called the Brigade. The house was not attached to the buildings and was unaffected by the fire and nobody was injured.
The Brigade was called at 0200 and the fire was under control at 0515. Fire crews from Bromley, Orpington, Beckenham and Addington fire stations attended the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
