Tyre fire at industrial estate

Six fire engines and around 35 firefighters and officers were called to a fire on an industrial estate on Bolina Road in Bermondsey yesterday evening.

A stack of tyres were damaged by the blaze.

Fire crews from New Cross, Deptford, Old Kent Road, Dockhead and Peckham and Bexley fire stations were at the scene.

The Brigade was called at 1847 and the fire was under control by 2027. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
