A woman has sadly died following a fire in a house converted into flats on Crowland Terrace in Islington.
Firefighters brought the woman out of a second floor flat. She was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews where she later died. The fire badly damaged the second floor flat and also spread to the third floor and roof.
The Brigade was called at 0136 and the fire was under control by 0431. Six fire engines and 35 firefighters and officers from stations including Islington, Shoreditch, Stoke Newington, and Holloway attended the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
