Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to a house fire on Platford Green in Hornchurch on Sunday afternoon
The blaze damaged part of the property’s roof and gutted the garage attached to the house. Part of the facia of the neighbouring house was also damaged. Two people left the affected property before the Brigade arrived and were treated on the scene by London Ambulance Service.
The Brigade was called at 1358 and the fire was under control by 1535. Crews from Dagenham, Hainault, Hornchurch and Ilford fire stations attended the incident. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
