14 firefighters and officers attended a small fire in the grounds of a nursing home on John William Close in Brockley yesterday afternoon.
A man was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service and sadly, he later died.
The Brigade was call at 1207 and the incident was over at 1250.
Two fire engines from Deptford and New Cross fire stations attended the incident.
