Sadly a man has died following a fire in a wooded area of land off Lea Bridge Road and close to Leyton Marshes yesterday afternoon.
Two fire engines and fourteen firefighters and officers were called to the incident from Leyton and Walthamstow fire stations. The London Ambulance Service and the Met Police were at the scene.
The Brigade was called at 1434 and the incident was over at 1545.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
