Woman rescued from river in Kingston

Firefighters assisted Royal National Lifeboat crews in rescuing a woman from the river in Kingston Upon Thames in the early hours of this morning.

Three fire engines and 14 firefighters and officers attended the scene, along with two fire rescue units with water capabilities.

The woman was treated on scene by London Ambulance Service crews.

The Brigade was called at 0156 and the incident was under control by 0237. Crews from Kingston, Surbiton, Battersea and Heston fire stations attended the scene.
