Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers tackled a house blaze on Henley Road in Ilford last night.
Watch Manager Paul Dykes said:
“When firefighters arrived they saw flames coming out of the first floor bedroom window. The crews did fantastically well, quickly getting to work and containing the blaze.”
Thankfully no one was in the property at the time of the fire.
The Brigade was called at 2055 and the fire was under control by 2142. Fire crews from Ilford and Barking fire stations attended the scene.
