Two hundred and fifty people were evacuated from Dalston Junction Station this morning as a fire broke out in a nearby wooden shed. The shed on Aswin Street was completely destroyed by the blaze.

Due to the huge amount of smoke the station was evacuated by station staff. There are no reports of any injuries.

The Brigade was called at 0806 and fire crews left the scene shortly after 0930. Firefighters from Stoke Newington and Islington fire stations attended the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
