Greenwich
House or flat fire

Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to a house fire on Coralline Walk in Abbey Wood yesterday afternoon.

The first floor of a two storey maisonette was badly damaged by the blaze. One person left the property before the Brigade arrived  and thankfully no injuries were reported.

The fire is believed to have been caused by an electrical fault.

The Brigade was called at 1344 and the fire was under control by 1458. Fire crews from Plumstead, Eltham and East Greenwich fire stations attended the scene.
