Silvertown – flat fire

Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to a flat fire on Booth Road in Silvertown this afternoon.

Half of a first floor flat was damaged by the blaze. No reports of any injuries.

The Brigade was called at 1511 and the fire was under control by 1622. Fire crews from Plaistow, East Ham, Stratford and Millwall fire stations were at the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
