Croydon – fire in derelict building

Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers dealt with a fire in a derelict building on Waddon Marsh Way in Croydon this afternoon.

Part of the ground floor of the three storey disused property was damaged by the blaze, but no injuries were reported.

The Brigade was called at 1547 and the fire was under control by 1801. Fire crews from Croydon, Norbury, Sutton and West Norwood fire stations attended the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
