Barnes - boat engine room fire

Fire at commercial property

The Brigade’s fireboat was called to The Terrace in Barnes this afternoon after a blaze broke out on a 50 tonne vessel.

The fire started in the engine room of the vessel.

Seven adults and two children were led to safety by the RNLI before the arrival of the Brigade.

There were no reports of any injuries.

The Brigade was called at 1652 and the fire was under control by 1819. Crews from Hammersmith, Chiswick, Richmond fire stations attended the scene.
