Firefighters tackled a fire at a chip shop in Petersfield Avenue in Harold Hill, last night.
The fire completely damaged the shop’s ducting - extraction system. Fortunately there were no injuries.
Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers from Harold Hill, Dagenham, Romford and Hornchurch fire stations attended the incident.
The Brigade was called at 2132 and the fire was under control at 2258. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
