Four people escaped uninjured form a fire at a disused bar with flats above it on Ilford Hill in Ilford, this evening.
The occupants left the property before the arrival of the Brigade and fortunately were all uninjured.
One tonne of rubbish on a first floor flat roof was completely damaged by fire and the roof itself was also damaged in the blaze.
Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers from Ilford, Barking and East Ham fire stations attended the incident.
The Brigade was called at 2313 and the fire was under control at 0035. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
