Six fire engines and 35 firefighters tackled a fire at a private members club on Cornhill in The City, EC3, this afternoon.

One person left uninjured before the arrival of the Brigade.

A small area of the club at sub basement level 2 was damaged by fire.

Fire engines from Soho, Whitechapel, Shoreditch, Old Kent Road and Islington fire stations attended the incident.

The fire is believed to have been caused by an electrical fault in a chiller cabinet.
