Four fire engines and 21 firefighters tackled a fire at a block of flats on Bramley Crescent in Gants Hill, Ilford, yesterday morning.
Part of a three roomed flat on the fifth floor of the six floor block, was damaged by fire.
Fortunately there were no injuries.
Fire engines from Ilford, Hainault and Woodford fire stations attended the incident.
The Brigade was called at 1011 and the fire was under control at 1051. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
