Firefighters tackled a blaze a ta block of flats on Clayponds Lane in Brentford, yesterday evening.
A woman was rescued by members of the public before the arrival of the Brigade and fortunately there were no injuries.
The fire affected a three roomed flat on the second floor, part of which was damaged by fire.
Fire engines from Chiswick and Acton fire stations attended the incident.
The Brigade was called at 1851 and the fire was under control at 1946. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
