Three escape Battersea maisonette fire

Three people escaped a fire at a maisonette on Reform Street in Battersea, early this morning.

The occupants left the building before the arrival of the Brigade and a woman was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation by the London Ambulance Service.

The whole of the property's loft space was damaged by fire.

Six fire engines and 35 firefighters from fire stations from Battersea, Clapham, Chelsea, Wandsworth, Fulham and Lambeth fire station attended the incident.

The Brigade was called at 0653 and the fire was under control at 0819. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
