Man falls three floors inside Sutton lift

Firefighters have rescued a man after the lift he was in dropped from the second floor to the basement. The man was stuck in the lift in the building on Carshalton Road in Sutton this afternoon.

Fire crews helped assist the man out of the elevator and he was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews.

The Brigade was called at 1233 and the incident was over for crews at 1343. A fire engine from Wallington and three Fire Rescue Units from Croydon, Lambeth and Edmonton were at the scene.
