Firefighter wearing breathing apparatus investigated a chemical spill at a block of flats on Brenthouse Road in Hackney, this evening.
A small spillage of ammonia from a storage cupboard on the ground floor corridor of the block was discovered and crews contained, mopped up and removed the spillage, making the area safe.
A man and woman were treated at the scene by the London Ambulance Service.
Two fire engines from Homerton fire stations attended the incident.
The Brigade was called at 2016 and the incident was over at 2134.
