Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to a house fire on Henniker Gardens in East Ham this afternoon
Around half of the basement was damaged in the blaze
The Brigade was called at 1531 and the fire was under control by 1725. Crews from East Ham, Stratford, Plaistow and Barking fire stations were at the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation
