The fire damaged a small amount of the carpet in the living room.
The Brigade was called at 1943 and the fire was under control by 2031. Firefighters from Surbiton and New Malden attended the scene alongside one fire engine from Surrey Fire and Rescue Service. The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
