Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to a fire at a block of flats in Stamford Hill in Stoke Newington.
Part of a maisonette on the eight floor of the building was damaged by fire.
The Brigade was called at 2248 and the fire was under control at 2312. Fire crews from Stoke Newington and Tottenham fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
