Hayes – roof badly damaged by fire

Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to a fire at a semi-detached house on Barnard Gardens in Hayes yesterday evening.

The whole roof and half of the first floor of the five roomed maisonette was damaged by fire.   

There were no reports of any injuries.

The Brigade was called at 1942 and the fire was under control by 2142. Fire crews from Southall, Hillingdon and Northolt fire stations were at the scene.  The fire is believed to have been caused by an electrical fault in the roof.
