Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to a fire in a boiler room in a block of flats on Covert Road in Hainault yesterday (Wednesday, 28 December) afternoon.
A small part of the boiler room was damaged andsix people left the building before the Brigade arrived.
The Brigade was called at 1555 and the fire was under control at 1721. Crews from Hainault, Ilford and Romford fire stations attended the incident. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
