Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to a fire in a cafe on Peckham Road in Camberwell on Friday morning
Two people were led to safety from the café by crews wearing breathing apparatus and three other people left the premises before the Brigade arrived.
Around 20 per cent of the café was damaged by the fire as well as part of its extraction system.
The Brigade was called at 0718 and the fire was under control by 1002. Crews from Peckham, Old Kent Road, New Cross and Brixton fire stations attended the incident. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
