The Brigade were notified by the Metropolitan Police about a fire fatality in Canalside Square, Islington and attended at 10:30 on 5 April.
The incident was a fire which was already extinguished and therefore no fire engines were mobilised, although the Brigade’s Fire Investigation Team attended.
Sadly, a man was found dead at the premises by police officers. As yet, the exact date and time of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade’s Fire Investigation Team which is working closely alongside Metropolitan Police colleagues.
