Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers dealt with a fire in an office building on Lombard Street in Central London this afternoon.
Part of the ducting going from the basement to the street level was damaged by the fire.
Around 400 people were evacuated from the building before the arrival of the Brigade.
The Brigade was called at 1338 and the fire was under control by 1523. Fire crews from Soho, Islington and Euston fire stations attended the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
