Firefighters were praised by local residents for their swift response at a flat fire on Samos Road in Penge last night. Half of flat was damaged by the blaze.
Alex Ritchie @AlexRitchie who took a picture from the scene said on Twitter:
“Thanks @LondonFire for coming to Samos Rd so quickly & doing a sterling job putting out the flat fire so swiftly.”
The Brigade was called at 1851 and the fire was under control by 1920. Fire crews from Beckenham and Woodside fire stations attended the incident. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
